1. Background: Pain Points of Conventional Thermal Shock Chambers

Most mainstream two-zone thermal shock chambers on the global market feature internal volumes below 1000L. They are designed only for tiny electronic components like PCBs and micro sensors.

However, modern industrial testing puts forward new demands. Automotive power assemblies, lithium battery semi-modules and oversized structural plastic parts all require synchronous thermal shock verification. Labs using small-capacity devices have to split sample batches separately. This leads to inconsistent environmental variables, longer test cycles and poor repeatable test data.

To solve this industry pain point, Danble Instrument launched the optimized 1800L two-zone thermal shock test chamber, retaining mature dual-cavity basket switching structure while expanding effective internal space without sacrificing temperature control accuracy.

2. Core Technical Differentiation: 1800L Large-Capacity Structural Optimization

Unlike bulky walk-in thermal shock chambers that consume excessive power, the Danble 1800L two-zone model balances space expansion and operational stability. It adopts fully separated hot and cold independent cavities without mixed air circulation.

The movable sample basket is reinforced with thickened galvanized steel frames. The upgraded anti-deformation structure prevents basket tilting under full-load 1800L sample placement, a common structural defect seen in modified large-volume standard chambers.

Uneven internal temperature distribution is the biggest technical flaw for expanded large-capacity test chambers. Temperature stratification will cause asymmetric thermal stress on sample surfaces and invalidate test results.

To solve this issue, this chamber installs dual high-speed centrifugal fans and layered diversion air ducts. Even when the inner cavity is fully loaded, temperature uniformity stays within ±1.0℃, meeting ASTM and IEC international testing standards.

Consistent with standard two-zone working logic, sample switching time between hot zone (+60℃ to +150℃) and cold zone (-70℃ to -10℃) is controlled within 10 seconds. No transitional temperature buffering ensures authentic abrupt thermal shock, which is the core index distinguishing thermal shock from ordinary temperature cycling chambers.

3. Two-Zone vs Three-Zone Selection for Large Volume Scenarios

Testing engineers often struggle with choosing between two-zone and three-zone structures for volumes over 1500L. Based on long-term lab operation data, two-zone designs have obvious practical advantages.

It cuts energy consumption by roughly 18% thanks to independent cavity operation with no frequent air valve switching. Meanwhile, the mechanical basket structure has fewer vulnerable wearing parts, lowering routine maintenance costs for long-term 24-hour continuous operation.

The only limitation of two-zone structures is powered-on sample testing. For samples needing continuous power supply during shock cycles, three-zone alternatives are more suitable.

The 1800L two-zone chamber mainly targets unpowered batch oversized samples, which covers more than 75% of conventional industrial reliability testing scenarios.

5. Lifecycle Technical Support for Large-Volume Chambers

Based on long-term after-sales data of large-volume environmental chambers, Danble sorts out standardized lifecycle supporting services to reduce equipment downtime caused by improper operation:

  • On-site deployment & technical handover: Certified field technicians complete cavity sealing, refrigeration system debugging and power matching calibration on-site. Operational and daily preventive maintenance training is provided to eliminate misoperation risks unique to large-volume chambers.

  • Tiered warranty & remote troubleshooting: Standard 1-2 year manufacturer warranty covers core refrigeration and control components, with extended warranty options for long-cycle lab use. 24/7 remote technical support solves parameter setting and alarm exception remotely without overseas on-site dispatch in most cases.

  • Spare parts inventory & periodic calibration: Core wearing spare parts are stocked in overseas warehouses for rapid delivery. Regular third-party temperature calibration maintains long-term testing accuracy, ensuring continuous compliance with updated industry testing standards.
